      The Summer of the Monkeys movie is a great movie if you haven’t read the book. Since i read the book the movie quite doesn't follow the book. In the movie there were four monkeys. In the book there is twenty nine monkeys. Other things that didn’t follow the book is the characters, some characters in the movie was not in the book. I would suggest that they keep the same characters and not add any made up characters. They also changed the dad’s name from Bob to John. I would suggest that for the monkeys that they would keep the same names and prices. Some of the animals in the book we different breeds than the book. For instant, Rowdy in the book is a blue tick, but in the movie he is not. But even with the differences it is a great movie.

      There are quite a few similarities between the book and movie. One similarity is that the main characters follow their role, like how Daisy is crippled in both the book and movie. Another similarity is that the movie follows the time period and setting. The movie also follows that Jay Berry wants a pony. Another similarity are that Jay berry paid for Daisy’s leg to get fixed.

      For the movie i would suggest that they would follow the book better. It was a great movie but the producer changed quite a bit. I would also suggest that Jimbo the monkey in the book should be in the movie. They should also keep the monkeys the same like in the book. Also the movie should keep the types of animals in the book the right types of animals. I would suggest for the book that they explain how stuff happened more, like where did the Paint horse come from. I would also suggest that they put grandma in. also that the should follow all the event in the book.
